Ballot Proposition #13
- What is the Senior Assisted Living SPET?
Ballot Proposition #13: SENIOR CENTER OF JACKSON HOLE – SENIOR ASSISTED LIVING PLANNING
$1,930,000 million to hire professional services to perform and provide a needs assessment, feasibility study, and propose options for establishing senior assisted living facilities in Teton County, which may include design and planning. This project is sponsored by Teton County.
- Why do we need it?
To fill a gap in care options for Jackson Hole seniors and elderly family members of residents. Currently, they can live independently at Pioneer Homestead or at Sage Living, a skilled nursing facility operated by St. John’s Health. No facility exists for seniors who need assistance with daily living (cooking, cleaning, transportation, personal care) but do not require constant medical attention. They must either rely on family and private in-home care or leave the valley.
