Hike with Parks & Recreation
October 18, 2019 @ 8:30 - 12:30
Guided hike down ‘History Trail’ on Teton Pass for seniors age 60+
Friday, October 18th 8:30am – 12:30pm
Join Teton County/Jackson Parks and Recreation on a guided hike down the History Trail on Teton Pass followed by lunch (optional) at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole. Experience the landscape and colorful stories of the people who traveled the Old Wagon Road beginning in the 1880s, and later, the Old Pass Road built in 1913. Total hiking distance is about 3.5 miles and begins at the summit of Teton Pass and descends nearly 2,000ft to the Trail Creek Trailhead. Bring water, snacks and appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather, it will be chilly! We will provide transportation from the Senior Center to the trail head along with a knowledgeable trail guide. This hike is not strenuous but people with knee or back problems may find it taxing. There is an excellent brochure that goes along with the history trail, to view the brochure click here.
Hike open to Seniors age 60+

8:30 am – 12:30 pm; start and finish at the Senior Center of Jackson Hole (830 E Hansen)
